Students willl take fine round silver wire, twist and coil. The coils will fill in shapes made with 16 ga wire. Overall look is gauzy framed jewelry pieces eq. pendants. Cost includes $3 Shop Fee. Maximum: 8 students per class

Instructor: Anne Time: 10 am - Noon - Bronze Metal Clay This is an opportunity to try out metal clay at a lower cost than silver. You will have 20 grams of gold bronze clay. It requires a 2 stage firing in the kiln. Pick up fired pieces the next day or two. Learn creating texture, refining and the firing process.

Cost includes clay and the use of textures, shape cutters and other tools, and $3 shop fee. Max 8 students

Jan 02 - Forged & Fused Fine Silver RingCA$143

Instructor: Thomas Time 1pm - 6pm

Learn about working with fine silver versus sterling silver, forging precious metals, and fusing - an alternative to soldering.

Each student will be provided with a one ounce fine silver coin, enough to make two to four rings.

Some silversmithing experience is required.

Learn how to cast solid objects by using the sandcasting frames at the club. Bring one or two small items to cast, the club has ring blanks that you can also use. Bring your own silver scrap or I will have casting grain that you can buy.

Learn how to fuse colorful vitreous enamels to precious metals. Supplies will be provided. Several projects will be available.

No experience necessary. Heedful junior members are welcome. Maximum: 8 students
